When you try to access a WCF-Service with your Browser you might see the following Error:<\/p>\n

HTTP Error 404.3 – Not Found<\/span><\/h4>\n

The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If that happens, you probably don’t have the Service Model registered with your IIS.<\/p>\n

Here’s how to register it:<\/p>\n

  1. Start the command window (cmd) as an Administrator.<\/li>\n
  2. Navigate to:
    \nC:\\Windows\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v3.0\\Windows Communication Foundation\\<\/li>\n
  3. In case you are running on a 64Bit machine, than navigate to:
    \nC:\\Windows\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework64\\v3.0\\Windows Communication Foundation\\<\/li>\n
  4. Run the following Command: ServiceModelReg \u2013i<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
